Foundation Capital

Foundation Capital

At Foundation Capital, we're entrepreneurs first and foremost. Each of us left successful careers in industry to work in venture capital because we wanted to pursue our passion: working with other entrepreneurs to build great new companies. That involves money, of course. But even more important is the effort, the perspective, the experience and the enthusiasm we invest. That's especially important when working with companies in their formative stages, which is our preference. Typically, we make an initial investment of $1 to $10 million and follow that by participating in each subsequent round of financing. As lead investors, we also are often asked to fill board seats.
